News/Update!!

Hey everyone!! I know I have been gone for awhile, but I have been getting ready for exams. Exams are this week, and then I leave for Alberta!! So i will have no time to blog. I am going away to work on a farm with horses. It will be load of fun, and I can't wait to see all of my family. On the down side, i will not really have anytime to read!! :( Which sucks, but when I get back at the end of July I will have two weeks then I leave again to go back to school shopping with my family. I hope I get a time where I can sit down and just write my reviews but I don't see one for awhile. I hope you all have a fantastic summer!!!

Feature and Follow Friday(Featured Blog) (16)

Feature and Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee’s View and Alison at Alison Can Read.

This week I am one of the featured blogs for Feature and Follow Friday. Well I hope you guys are all had a good week, I know that I have.

Q: This Sunday in the U.S. is Mother's Day, in celebration, what are some of your favorite books with strong mother/child relationships?

A: Some of my favourite books with strong mother/child relationships is City of Bones By Cassandra Clare. The relationship that Clary and her mother has is amazing. They would do anything to protect one another, evening risking there own lives. The way that her mother hides a whole world just to protect her daughter is so sweet. You can feel the love that she has for her daughter, and that she only wants what is best for her. Like any other mother daughter relationships there is fights, but it makes them love each other even more. You see when her mom disappears, that she sees things in a new light, and understands why it happend the way it did. There is many books with strong mother/child relationships. Authors like Jodi Picoult, Sarah Dessen have many books with strong relationships between mother and child. The Truth About Forever is another book with this relationship within. Macy and her mother share a silent grief over the loss of her father, it bring them together.

I hope you all wish your mother a Happy Mother's Day.

Happy Friday

Review- Goddess Interrupted By Aimee Carter

Goddess Interrupted (Goddess Test, #2)Title: Goddess Interrupted
Author: Aimee Carter
Released: March 27, 2012
Pages: 296
Rate: 5/5

Summary: (From Goodreads)

KATE WINTERS HAS WON IMMORTALITY.

BUT IF SHE WANTS A LIFE WITH HENRY IN THE UNDERWORLD, SHE'LL HAVE TO FIGHT FOR IT.

Becoming immortal wasn't supposed to be the easy part. Though Kate is about to be crowned Queen of the Underworld, she's as isolated as ever. And despite her growing love for Henry, ruler of the Underworld, he's becoming ever more distant and secretive. Then, in the midst of Kate's coronation, Henry is abducted by the only being powerful enough to kill him: the King of the Titans.

As the other gods prepare for a war that could end them all, it is up to Kate to save Henry from the depths of Tartarus. But in order to navigate the endless caverns of the Underworld, Kate must enlist the help of the one person who is the greatest threat to her future.

Henry's first wife, Persephone.

Review

Goddess Interrupted was a fantastic book, that I could not put down. I bought this book when I was visiting family in New Brunswick, as I had finished all the books I had brought down with me. I loved the first book in the series The Goddess Test. This one was just as good as the first. I have read lots of books about the gods, and there lives, but this was better then most. I felt like I actually was meeting the gods.

The cover is just beautiful. I love how there is shapes on the cover, it makes it come alive. I can see the girl on the book being a real goddess. It goes really well with The Goddess Test.

I absolutely love Kate and Henry. They are like a real couple in ways. As every girl feels she doesn't know if Henry loves her back, and it gets her into all kinds of mess. I can relate to her in some ways. With her incerartiy it makes her feel like a real person. When Henry is abducted you see the true love that Kate has for him,  because she will do anything to get him back, even if it would kill her and break her heart. It would be so hard to do what she did to go and get help from his first wife.

The writing of the book is amazing, the words just draw me right in to another world. Aimee Carter is a fantastic author and I can't wait to read more books by her. I rated this book a well earned 5 out 5 for a book that I absolutely loved.

Thanks
